Organization

Combining human and instrumental resources, the OSR is dedicated to the observation of the components of continental surfaces in the South West of France, and to enrich knowledge in this field. The definition and implementation of observations meet the needs of researchers and partners (from public or private sector).

It serves as an operational support for the scientific community, through data production and dissemination among researchers and partners.

Regarding its organization, the South West OSR is divided in 7 functional units led by a Steering Committee and supported by an administrative and financial service specific to CESBIO and OMP.

These units function on the benevolent contribution of a large range of researchers from CESBIO, including researchers, teachers, engineers, assistant engineers and technicians. An assistant physicist, an assistant engineer and a technician specifically work for the OSR.
